INSPIRED BY: CLASSIC CONCEPTS AND MODERN TWISTS

9:30 am

Another week flies by!  This week I wanted to go back to basics so I grabbed some old standbys from my closet.

There's nothing as basic or classic as a crisp white shirt and since the weather is still not ideal I layered it with this pink striped sweater to stay warm.  I feel that the stripes are classic and slightly nautical but the pink color instead of a traditional black and white or navy helps update and modernize it.  Then back to some basic black skinny jeans for a solid base.

Still playing with the idea of modern classics I grabbed these penny loafers.  The penny loafer itself is a tried and true classic shoe, but these particular ones are a pale metallic suede, which is anything but traditional!  I call them my granny shoes (I have a couple granny shoes actually) but they are the most comfortable things I have ever put on my feet!

The overall look is casual but still put together.  Perfect for weekend errands, lunch with the girls, or a stroll around Churchill Square and the AAG!

Thanks for visiting and I hope you have an amazing weekend!
