INSPIRED BY: IN THE GARDEN - FLORAL DRESS AND THE MONTREAL BOTANICAL GARDEN7:00 am
Hi Everyone! The hubs and I have now moved on from Montreal to Toronto which is good because Montreal was seriously bad for my waistline and yet so much fun at the same time.
In between meals though, we did manage to see quite a few sights including the Montreal Botanical Garden. To be honest I am not a huge fan of "nature", so I was a little uncertain about the garden visit at first, but it proved be such a beautiful place! My favorite part was the Japanese Garden. The whole setting was so serene and we were even able to see some lotus flowers which are some of my faves.
The hubs insisted on me wearing this flower print dress for our visit. He found it so humorous that I would be wearing my own flowers at the garden! For me the shift style dress was comfy and the light fabric was perfect for the warm humid day. Montreal is SOOOOO humid, especially compared to Edmonton! So I beat the humidity for a large portion of our trip with a top knot hairstyle! An easy updo is a great tool to have in your hairstyle arsenal! It's quick and chic when you are in a hurry, and keeps your hair off your face and neck for both good or bad weather. It's a great travel styling trick!
