INSPIRED BY: BRIGHT LIGHTS BIG CITY!8:00 am
Hi everyone! A few weeks ago the hubs and I headed to Boston and New York for a quick spring getaway and we had SUCH a good time!
The hubs and I haven't traveled anywhere new in a while so we were both pretty excited about heading somewhere new! We started in Boston but due to the weather didn't really take any photos there. We did have an amazing time though with lots of eating and seafood. The day we left Boston was sunny and beautiful and luckily that weather carried over to a lot of our time in New York allowing us to take more photos and fit in a post or two. It is a shame that we could take more shots of Boston! It really is a lovely city!
First post is from the day the hubs and I spent at the Brooklyn Bridge! This was one of the things I had been most looking forward to seeing on my trip. When I think of the Brooklyn Bridge I am always reminded of the scene from Sex and the City where Steve and Miranda get back together! The weather was amazing the day we went. It was actually so lovely we walked the entire bridge into Brooklyn and rested at the Brooklyn Heights Promenade and then took the train back. For anyone wondering the difference between Manhattan and Brooklyn was immediately noticeable as soon as we crossed the bridge! It was somehow calmer. I can't quite explain it. From the Promenade we had the most amazing view of Manhattan!
Packing for the trip was a challenge in a lot of ways but more on that in my next NYC post! For now here are some shots that highlight our trip in general.
Hope you enjoyed and thanks so much for reading!
