BLUSHING - A PINK AND GREY VALENTINE'S LOOK8:00 am
I am not a lover of pink. In fact when I found out that Q was going to be a girl and I imagined the mounds of pink items that were going to be gifted to us I asked my sister if I could make a note on the baby shower invites requesting non-pink items. She told me no. I have come around to pink though if only so that people will stop asking me how old my son is! lol. I am particularly loving this blush shade that seems to be so popular lately. In fact I have gathered myself a small collection of blush items in my closet. Why blush? Its a perfect neutral! Pale enough to be a basic and just warm enough to bring life to the skin so you aren't washed out. I particularly love it paired with other neutrals like grey and army green just to name a few!
I fell in love with this blush pink vest as soon as I saw it and had to have it! I LOVE this look with the vest on its own but have to admit that although it was a beautiful sunny day when we took these shots it was also CRAZY windy! My pink hands constantly holding my flying hair out of my face is a dead giveaway! At one point it got so bad the hubs suggested that we warm up in the car because he couldn't feel his fingers so he knew I must be freezing! The things I do for fashion! LOL!
I wanted to go very simply on the accessories so I layered a long thin gold chain under the neckline for a very subtle glimmer of gold here and there; so subtle you almost miss it really but that's exactly what I was going for. These flat knee boots complete the look with that soft grey element I spoke of earlier while keeping things comfy and casual at the same time. Pop on a pair of heels for a perfect Valentine's Day look whether it be for a date night with your sweetie or, even better, dinner with your best girlfriends!
Thanks so much for reading and to hubs for braving the wind with me to snag these shots!
