When it comes to personal style I fancy myself a bit of a chameleon.  I invest in the classics, dabble in trends, and find inspiration all over the place.  Recently I've been really inspired by the wardrobe styling for the main character, Alice, on the new Shonda Rhimes show, The Catch, which draws heavily from the 1960's and a bit from the 70's with a modern spin, a recent trend that I have dabbled in before.  It's not often that a show comes along with such a specific stylized look for the main character but this one really hits it home in the style department.  Plus I actually really enjoy the show and I have convinced the hubs to watch it with me!;)

I admire those who have a really clear sartorial vision and I think it's important to understand your personal style, but I think my personal style is more about clean lines and simplicity than a specific look.  I'm not modern, or retro, or girly, or edgy.  I kind of try it all depending on my mood. It's a blessing and a curse! lol! It allows me a freedom to experiment but also occasionally leads me astray. I like to think that that is ok though, because if you aren't on the worst dressed list once or twice in your life you aren't taking risks and at the end of the day fashion is about having fun!

What about you guys? What are your thoughts on personal style and where do you find your inspiration?

Thanks for reading!
